The director

See-a-Sound is directed by Dr Alison Yeung, an academic in the field of Theology, and communication skills consultant. Using a blend of innovative and conventional teaching methods, as well as simple breathing and relaxation techniques, Alison helps both adults and children to overcome self-esteem issues and other emotional blocks that impede self-expression and inter-personal communication.  As an academic, Alison has a particular interest in integrative consciousness and spirituality, having spent 5 years conducting research into the fields of Western Systematic Theology and Chinese Philosophy.

Having struggled in literacy and numeracy in her early years at school, Alison believes firmly in the importance of building a child’s self-confidence as the prerequisite to personal success, be it at school or in life. Alison has developed the colour, touch, sound learning technique used in See-a-Sound to provide a multi-sensory learning method that stimulates the whole brain of the child.  In this way, the child is free to explore different ways of learning, ranging from the more conventional sequential, logical approach of most mainstream schools to more instinctive and intuitive approaches to literacy and numeracy.
